Director, Administration
Leads the Administration Division and reports to the Director-General, ensuring the Commission’s corporate services are efficient, compliant, and aligned with strategic priorities.
Mr. Charles Oduro is the Acting Director of Administration at the Ghana AIDS Commission (GAC), where he provides strategic leadership and oversight for the Commission’s administrative and support services. He is an experienced public sector administrator with extensive expertise in public administration, human resource management, procurement, and institutional governance.
Mr. Oduro plays a key role in strengthening administrative systems and enhancing operational efficiency to support the Commission’s mandate of coordinating Ghana’s national HIV and AIDS response. His responsibilities include overseeing human resource management, procurement, asset and facilities management, transport services, and general administration.
He holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in Administration (Public Administration), a Master of Arts (MA) in Development Studies, and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB). Mr. Oduro is passionate about institutional strengthening, effective public sector management, and promoting excellence, accountability, and innovation in service delivery.

Provide inputs for the formulation of policies of the Commission
Coordinate the development of the work plan of the Division
Ensure the preparation of the annual budget of the Division
Coordinate the preparation of annual and other periodic reports of the Division
Ensure the implementation of performance management policy in the Division
Oversee the management of the estate of the Commission
Oversee the management of the corporate image of the Commission
Oversee the effective and efficient management of records of the Commission
Ensure the availability of material resources to support the activities of the Commission
Coordinate the development of processes, procedures, and guidelines for the management of material resources of the Commission
Exercises oversight responsibility for the efficient and effective management of the human, material and financial resources of the Commission.
Coordinate the development and management of ICT infrastructure for the Commission
Coordinate the preparation and implementation of procurement plans of the Commission
Coordinate the organization of all meetings, seminars, workshops, and conferences of the Commission
