About the Corporate Affairs Unit
The Corporate Affairs Unit of the Ghana AIDS Commission (GAC) serves as the strategic communication and public engagement arm of the Commission. The Unit is responsible for managing the Commission’s corporate image, stakeholder relations, public education, media engagement, and advocacy initiatives. Through effective communication strategies and partnerships, the Unit promotes awareness of HIV and AIDS issues, enhances public understanding of the Commission’s mandate, and strengthens stakeholder support for Ghana’s national HIV response.

Key Responsibilities
Core functions delivered by the Corporate Affairs Unit in support of the Commission’s mandate.
Develops and implements communication, advocacy, and public relations strategies to support the Commission’s mandate and strategic objectives.
Provides input into policy formulation and supports the dissemination of policy information to stakeholders.
Coordinates public education and sensitization programmes on HIV and AIDS, stigma reduction, and related national priorities.
Manages media relations and serves as the primary liaison between the Commission and the media.
Oversees the preparation and dissemination of press releases, media statements, and other public communication materials.
Monitors media coverage and public perceptions of the Commission and recommends appropriate responses and engagement strategies.
Coordinates the production and distribution of information, education, communication (IEC), and promotional materials.
Ensures the development and dissemination of corporate publications, newsletters, reports, brochures, and other communication products.
Collaborates with the Information Technology Unit to ensure that the Commission’s website and digital communication platforms are regularly updated with relevant information.
Manages the Commission’s presence on digital and social media platforms to enhance public engagement and information sharing.
Develops and maintains a comprehensive database of key stakeholders, partners, media organizations, and other strategic audiences.
Coordinates the preparation of annual work plans, budgets, reports, and performance assessments for the Unit.
Organizes public events, campaigns, stakeholder forums, and corporate activities to enhance visibility and stakeholder participation.
