Welcome Message

From the Director General

On behalf of the Ghana AIDS Commission, I warmly welcome you to our official website.

Ghana’s HIV response is at a critical stage. While we have the tools to end AIDS as a public health threat, challenges such as stigma, discrimination, and funding gaps remain. The Commission is strengthening partnerships, improving coordination, and advancing sustainable financing to support effective HIV prevention, treatment, care, and support services.

We are committed to reducing new infections, eliminating mother-to-child transmission, and achieving zero stigma and AIDS-related deaths through inclusive, evidence-based approaches.

We invite you to explore our work and partner with us to end AIDS in Ghana.

Dr. Kharmacelle Prosper Akanbong
Director General
